Hello, my name is James LaChapelle, I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate. I graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in psychology and received my master’s degree UNCC with Chi Sigma Iota Honors in Counseling- Go Niners!

I am excited to lead you on this journey of recovery! I offer counseling and life coaching, providing therapeutic mental health treatment for depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transition, relationship problems, and parenting issues. As a licensed school counselor, I also work with children and families on goal setting, academic issues, ADHD/504 school improvement plans, emotional wellness, and personal growth.

My overall approach incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused, and person-centered therapy. I recognize that we are all different individuals with various needs. I will work closely with you to develop an approach that fits your unique needs and personality.
