I believe everyone has a story worth hearing, and every story deserves to be met with compassion, understanding, and grace. Life can be beautiful, complicated, messy, and sometimes overwhelming. Whether you're a parent searching for support for your child, a teenager trying to find your way, or an adult navigating life's challenges, my hope is to offer a place where you can feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. My approach to counseling is warm, compassionate, and client centered. I believe meaningful change begins with connection and that feeling truly heard and accepted can make all the difference. I strive to create a welcoming, comfortable space where you can show up just as you are, without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out.

I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from UNC Chapel Hill. I have worked with children and adolescents in various capacities for over two decades including providing school-based counseling. I understand that young people don't always have the words to explain what they're experiencing, and sometimes their struggles are expressed through emotions, behaviors, or relationships. I enjoy helping children and adolescents make sense of their feelings, discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to navigate life's challenges. I also believe in the importance of partnering with parents and caregivers, offering encouragement, understanding, and practical support along the way.

I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps children and adolescents (ages 5-18) process traumatic experiences and develop healthy coping skills. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), utilize non-directive play therapy and other individualized approaches to help clients better understand their thoughts and emotions, strengthen relationships, and move toward meaningful change.

When working with adults, I bring that same warmth, empathy, and collaborative spirit. I recognize that we all carry different experiences, responsibilities, and struggles. Sometimes we need help working through painful experiences, sometimes we need new tools to manage life's demands, and sometimes we simply need a place where we can be ourselves and feel heard.
I am a mother to three wonderful young adults and value time with family and friends. On weekends, I might be reading a book, unwinding by a backyard fire, camping, hiking, or embarking on an adventure with my family. I also have one sillly Goldendoodle who will bark wildly when you meet her and become your best friend thirty seconds later.
