Veteran population, children and teens

My interest and passion for counseling began during my time as a career Air Force soldier / veteran. While serving in the military, I had the pleasure of working with victims of assault and domestic violence. This sparked my interest for serving others through counseling and support. During that time, I worked toward the attainment of my undergraduate education, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland. Following my retirement from a 23-year military service career, I went on to earn a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a National Certified Counselor.
I am passionate about being able to work with children and teens of all ages and hope to be able to help them overcome a variety of challenges. I firmly believe that with the proper supports, all individuals can be successful and healthy. I am looking forward to being a part of that support system for the population I will have the pleasure of serving. My military background and extensive travels provide me with the unique perspective needed to be able to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse cultures and varying backgrounds. I pride myself on being fair and open, and will do my best to meet your individual needs.
In my spare time, I love cooking, watching television and movies, meeting new people and spending time with family and friends. For the past 32 years, I have joyfully partnered with my husband and fellow Air-Force soldier / veteran, and together, we have raised our two, amazing, adult daughters.
