Jillian McDowell
Children, Teens, Young Adults, and Adults

I graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2018 with my Bachelors of Social Work degree and in 2020 with my Masters of Social Work degree. Currently, I am a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My experience spans working with children, adolescents, families, and adults facing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, life transitions, work-life balance, and parenting difficulties. I am driven by a passion for helping individuals navigate the complexities of life.
I use a range of therapeutic methods to empower individuals and foster a sense of confidence. I create safe and supportive spaces for children, teens, and families to express themselves and unlock their potential. My counseling approach is grounded in a person-centered therapeutic model, emphasizing a relaxed and positive atmosphere. I believe that everyone deserves a supportive and neutral presence in their lives who prioritizes their well-being.
In my free time, I love to do diamond art, read, attend workout classes, play board games, and listen to music (heavy on Taylor Swift). I have a big sweet tooth, no chocolate for me, and can always go for some caffeine (Alani's of course). I recognize that each person’s journey is unique and distinct, and I prefer to approach my clients with understanding and meeting my client's where they are at.
