Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist-Associate, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
I obtained my Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate approved by the North Carolina Certification and Licensure Board and also a licensed addiction specialist registered. I am a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society for social work. My clients consist of children, teens and adults. I have completed additional training to clinically assist children, adolescents, and adults that have experienced trauma and utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as needed. I also incorporate other therapy modalities into sessions for children and teens which may include art therapy, play therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness techniques.
My goal as a clinician is to provide each one of my clients with a relaxed, safe place to receive support and guidance throughout their therapy journey. When I am not assisting clients, I enjoy traveling to both new and familiar places and spending time with my family. I enjoy music of all genres and enjoy reading about history. I specifically have a passion for assisting mothers, teens, and young adults who currently find themselves in need of services. As a mother and activist, I am dedicated to the full safety and systematic disenfranchisement for vulnerable populations. I encourage people of all religious and ethnic backgrounds to consider services with me.
